As much as I love vibrant, bold colors and unique textures in my makeup, there are those days where I just reach for the standbys- the neutrals or the products you don’t have to think about. Somedays we’re feeling kinda low, we’re running short on time, or we just need to find some new inspiration and the products you reach for are those you know will work! You know what I’m sayin’?
e.l.f. Studio Blush in Candid Coral
One of the products I’ve recently found that has quickly become a safety net for me is e.l.f.’s Studio Blush in Candid Coral. I love the way it goes with just about every color scheme that I wear–purple, blue, brown, orange, green–and it doesn’t overpower the heavier looks. It’s extremely easy to use and can be worn sheer or heavier, depending on the look you’re going for. Best of all? It’s only 3 DOLLARS!!!
Candid Coral, all opened up.
The product is a peachy color, maybe less coral than what I would expect from the name, and it has this wonderful gold shimmer that subtly adds a glow to the face. You really have to be close to see the shimmer, which I really appreciate. (Am NOT a fan of large, chunky glitter on my face outside of Halloween.) Like I said before, I literally have worn this blush with EVERY color scheme I wear, most recently with the blue NYX eyeliner from this post and some dark black mascara.
Candid Coral on my arm…
I know it’s hard to see in the picture above the real color of the product, but that’s what happens when you’re pasty. (I promise it’s great on the face!) I apply this blush with my Sigma F40 Large Angled Contour brush, which blends it BEAUTIFULLY. It really is amazing how a great brush can make a good product even better! And again, depending on how you want to look, you can take this product from sheer and very natural to bold and peachy. I love it!
I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was spend relaxing for a bit and then working on finance homework. I can’t wait to have a life again! Have a great Monday!
