L’Oreal Infallible LeGloss in #405 Coral Sands

I’m all about holidays, but holidays in the middle of the week always throw me off! Wednesday felt like Sunday and today feels like Tuesday, albeit a very tired Tuesday. Dane and I are going to try and do something interesting, but that may just boil down to renting a movie…
Whether we do something glamorous or low-key, I know that the L’Oreal Infallible LeGloss in Coral Sands will keep me covered. I have to admit, though, I didn’t buy this gloss because of it’s 8-hour claim.
Do you ever have those moments where you just grab and go? I saw this color and hustled out the door to where Dane was waiting for me in the car. 
It was only later that I realized this is supposed to be a long-wearing product.
I LOVE this color and the whole pale nude category. I probably have a million variations, but it’s better than crack, right?

Even though I bought this simply because of the color, I feel it’s important to note that the “8hr” claim is basically crap. As usual. I have no idea why companies make these claims that are unrealistic for the products they make. I tested this out primarily on a road trip and applied the gloss at 11:45 and by 3:45, it was completely gone. 4 HOURS IS NOT 8, L’Oreal, okay? I ate one meal and drank coffee during that time period, which I think is pretty reasonable. Does L’Oreal expect people not to eat or drink during the 8 hours so that their product will actually last that long? Sheesh.

Despite the crap claims, I most definitely love this color and in all honestly, it does last a long time. (I imagine the darker colors last even longer.) It feels lightweight on my lips and doesn’t dry them out. I also like the applicator much better than a doe foot:
