If you were to rummage through my blush drawer, you would find many peaches, peach-browns, plums, nudes, and even pink-browns, but the one shade you’d find only one of would be pink. I don’t typically gravitate to pinks, I think because they usually don’t inspire me all that much. It’s just not my thing, ya know? (For the record, the pink I do have is MAC’s Mineralize Blush in Gentle. It’s a gem.)
I was in Ulta one afternoon, challenging myself to find something different. It wasn’t easy, since I love my peach/brown/nude shades, but I stumbled across the new Cargo blushes and was blown away by Bali.
The Cargo Water-Resistant Blush in Bali ($26) pretty much stole my heart and has been on my face most of the time since. It pairs perfectly with my taupes, which I’m having a bigger-than-normal thing for right now, and adds a beautiful, iridescent sheen to my cheeks. I heard Kristin Gehm call this kind of a look “adult sparkle”, and she’s absolutely right. It also helps my dry/dehydrated skin look, well, not dry and dehydrated.
This blush lasts all day on my skin, especially when I wear the ever-enduring Smashbox Studio Skin foundation.
Have you tried any of these blushes?
